Analysis of a Selected Firm

This bachelor’s thesis deals with analysis of Profidebt, s. r. o. company from the financial point of view between 2006 and 2010. In the practical part, there are considered economic ratios in terms of activity, profitability, liquidity, risk of bankruptcy and management, compared in period of five years. The selected ratios, in a form of time series, are subjected to regression analysis, and afterwards there is a prediction of development based on appropriately chosen functions. Together with the evaluation also recommends more effective processes in particular areas of financial management and application of methods in financial health monitoring. At the end it suggests possible ways of future improvement and growth.

Predkladaná diplomová práca sa zaoberá kritickou analýzou súčasnej situácie firmy Gorenje Slovakia, ktorá na slovenskom trhu predáva domáce spotrebiče. Analýza externého prostredia odhaľuje možné príležitosti a hrozby na trhu. Na druhej strane, analýza interného prostredia prisieva k určeniu si silných a slabých stránok, a taktiež finančného zdravia spoločnosti. Výsledky analýz sú zosumarizované v SWOT analýze. V poslednom rade sú navrhnuté odporúčania a návrhy pre zlepšenie súčasnej situácie spoločnosti.

The aim of this thesis is to carry out a financial analysis of the company PŘÍHODA s. r. o. from the year 2010 to 2015, and draw up a financial plan for the year 2016. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the first, methodical part, there are described methods and indicators, which are applied in the analytical part afterwards. The analytical part consists of introduction of the company, interpretation of results, comparison with recommended values and competition.

Credibility and bankruptcy models in practice

This bachelor thesis deals with the following bankruptcy and credibility models: index IN05, Edmister model, Fulmer H-score and Altman Z-score. The aim is to find a model that has the best predicative ability for SMEs. Bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part each model, its characteristics and method of calculation will be introduced. In the practical part the selected bankruptcy and credibility models will be applied on a sample of 20 bankrupt SMEs in Czech Republic.

This bachelor thesis is focused on financial analysis of AERO VODOCHODY a.s. The main goal is to assess the financial stability. Analysis was made over the years 2002 - 2007. In the first part the thesis describes the principle of financial analysis. Theoretical part describes instruments and methods of calculation which was used in this thesis. Practical part describes brief description of the company and calculations of particular instruments. Vertical and horizontal analyses, ratio indicators, concretely indicators of profitability, activity, liquidity and indebtedness, balance rulers, net worth capital, Altman index, Index IN05, indicator EVA and comparison intercompany was used in this thesis. All recognized values always have verbal commentary. All results and situation of the company are summarized in the end of this thesis.
